Despite the big changeup at the judge?s table since her season six win, Jordin Sparks is thrilled that Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler are joining the American Idol family. ?I?m really excited to see what it?ll be like,? Jordin, the new Ambassador for Quaker Chewy's Afterschool Rocks campaign, told In Touch on the heels of the announcement that the "Waiting for Tonight" diva and the Aerosmith front man would be the new judges on the hit Fox singing competition series. After having Jennifer as a guest mentor during her 2007 season, Jordin especially feels a close connection to the iconic songstress. ?She was really sweet,? she said. Jordin, who is currently performing in Broadway's In the Heights, believes Jennifer will be compared to former Idol judge ? and fan-favorite ? Paula Abdul. ?I know there are going to be a lot of comparisons drawn because they both dance, and they both act,? she predicted. American Idol host Ryan Seacrest broke the news at a press conference on Wednesday that Jennifer and Steven will replace departed judges Simon Cowell, Ellen DeGeneres and Kara DioGuardi for the show?s 10th season.
