Britney Spears Gearing Up for New Album

Gearing up for her next album release, Britney Spears is reportedly holding tryouts for a music video today (December 22).

The pop queen is looking for male and female dancers to join her in the video for the album?s single, which is rumored to be called ?Hold It Against Me.?

Spears' choreographer, Brian Freidman, hinted about the auditions via Twitter. He wrote on Monday, "Countdown... 2 days till that very special audition I am holding in LA. Very exciting!!!"

The single is due out in January with the album set for a March release.

Keri Hilson Lets In The Men For No Boys Allowed

As the singer let MTV News tag along on a day of album promotion, she explained her exclusive title.

What better way to spend a Monday than with "Pretty Girl Rock" singer Keri Hilson, as she promotes this week's release of her new album, No Boys Allowed? MTV News was lucky enough to tag along with Hilson and occasionally pepper her with questions while she hopped around New York City for photo shoots and prepared for an interview on "106 & Park."

In a cab ride to BET's studios, we asked Hilson which song she's most excited for fans to hear on the new album.

"That's a hard question," she said. "It's almost like asking, 'Which baby do you like the most? Which child do you like the most?' "

So, we tried an easier question. Why aren't boys allowed? Or, does she mean that boys aren't allowed but men are?

"Yeah, men [are allowed]," Hilson said. "That's the point of the album. I feel like I give so much of the female perspective, and I really wanted to give guys a chance to sound off and give their perspective on certain things, so I had to bring in the men."

By way of illustrating the point (maybe), we saw Hilson receiving a piggy-back ride from a manly friend. "This is a man's job!" Hilson shouted. "No boys allowed! Only a man can handle this," she added, referring to her burly mode of "transport."

After her "106 & Park" performance, we asked Richie, Hilson's choreographer, whether she was a good dance pupil or not.

"Uh, yes, Keri is amazing," he said.

"What do you mean, 'Uh, yes?' " interjected Hilson, who recently caused a stir with her racy grinding in the video for "The Way You Love Me."

"I mean, listen. It's a process that we go through, but Mama's always under the gun," he tried to explain, at which point Hilson cut in again.

"Boo! Cut!" Hilson mock protested, and pretended to put her dance man in a headlock.

"And she comes out and she wins," Richie finished, laughing. "So, yes, it's an amazing process, but Mama makes it through the fire."

"Hood phenomenon, the LeBron of rhyme," he spit. "Hard to be humble when you stunning on a JumboTron/ I'm looking at her like, 'This what you really wanted, huh?/ Why we arguing anyway? Oh, I forgot, it's summertime.' "

Praises to Barry White and his "I'm Gonna Love You Just a Little Bit More, Baby," but it's not that sample that raised this stirring Rick Ross track to sublime heights. Rather, it's the way Kent (and co-producers the Remedy) flip Enchantment's "Silly Love Long" that takes this one up a notch. "We shining when it's pitch dark, yeah this bitch a movie, but this time I play a big part," Ross muscles through the beat with his flow. "F--- marketing, look at what I'm accomplishing/ I'm beating n---as by margins bigger than Fran Tarkenton."

Street Symphony: Jay-Z's "On to the Next One"

While most producers speed up samples, Swizz took the road less traveled and slowed down this driving dance tune into a military-march tempo. The result was Hov's mantra for his next decade of dominance and MTV News' #8 Song of 2010. "Baby, I'm a boss, I don't know what they do," Jay spit. "I don't get dropped, I drop the label."

Street Symphony: "Runaway"

Rick James might be the signature sample on this one, but it's the drum loop from the Backyard Heavies where 'Ye (and co-producers Emile, Mike Dean and Jeff Bhaskar) set their sail for this number to rise to one of the year's best tracks. "See, I could have me a good girl and still be addicted to them hood rats," Yeezy rhymes. "And I just blame everything on you/ At least you know that's what I'm good at."

Sure Justin Bieber has some hip-hop swag, thanks to friendships with rappers like Diddy, Ludacris, Drake and Kanye West, but it seems that the pop superstar now is going a little bit country.

Rascal Flatts lead singer Gary LeVox made one big reveal recently when he spoke to country radio station WSIX, according to CNN. "[Justin] asked us to do a duet with him on his next record," LeVox explained. "It's actually a really good song! The kid is really talented. He plays five or six different instruments really well."

On Sunday, Bieber confirmed LeVox's statements on his Twitter while sending some praise the country band's way. "I love @RascalFlatts and Im honored that they are making music with me," he wrote. "And for those that dont know ... they have great records like this one. #GREATMUSIC." He then included a link to a Bieber fan video with the Rascal Flatts track "My Wish" playing in the background.

Bieber also tweeted on Sunday that he was hanging out with Lil Twist, who he has been collaborating with on a mixtape for some time now. "I don't know man," he recently shared with MTV News about their work together. "Lil Twist is my homey and we're working on stuff for fun."

The teen singer is indeed hard at work on new music. Last Tuesday, Bieber was spotted at Diddy's studio in New York City working on tracks for a forthcoming album. "I've missed the studio. Just making music," Bieber tweeted that day. "Made some great records tonight."

Neil Patrick Harris Regrets Blasting Soap Star On Twitter

Actor calls Eric Braeden a 'D-bag' after soap star drops out of 'How I Met Your Mother' cameo.

"How I Met Your Mother" star Neil Patrick Harris recently stirred up some offscreen drama related to the show, but later regretted starting the flap.

The controversy began when Harris tweeted some unsavory comments about soap star Eric Braeden, who was slated to tape a cameo as character Robin Scherbatsky's father. However, Harris took offense after "The Young and the Restless" actor dropped out of the appearance.

"Eric Braeden is a D-Bag. the actor, (Robin's dad) agreed to a cameo, then last night bailed, saying the part wasn't 'substantial' enough," Harris tweeted on Friday.

Braeden shot back in an interview with Entertainment Weekly later that day, shrugging off Harris' gripe and explaining he ditched the cameo due to an increased workload.

"I really don't know who that fellow is. He's a guy who stars in that series," Braeden laughed to EW. "It's very unfortunate. First of all, I came back from hip surgery. I was off for three weeks. I've doubled my work, 30 to 50 pages a day for me, alone. Everyone knows that I'm exhausted. I was not about to appear on a show for two lines, because that's what it amounted to."

Braeden added that he returned to the show because he enjoyed his first cameo in 2008 and "the cast and crew and producers couldn't have been nicer." However, the veteran actor appeared to view Harris' comments as arrogance.

"His choice of words bothered me," Braeden added. "It seems to me like a young whippersnapper, having seen himself on a few covers, who's received a few awards, is now suddenly suffering from the first signs of hubris. I've been in the business for 50 years. I've seen people come and go and I'm still here."

Ultimately, Braeden maintained that he had no plans to escalate the drama, saying,"If he is a worthy adversary, he'd better not cross my path. I will let bygones be bygones."

Later, Harris returned to Twitter to explain he just had a visceral reaction to someone bashing his beloved "Mother."

"Now I feel bad for the D-bag comment," he wrote. "Don't know the guy personally. I'm just fiercely protective of our show."

'Family Guy' Exclusive: Nine Minutes Of 'Star Wars' Parody 'It's A Trap!'

'It's definitely the most visually stunning of all of the ones we've done,' creator Seth MacFarlane tells MTV News.

Back at San Diego Comic-Con this summer, "Family Guy" creator Seth MacFarlane showed off a first-look at "It's a Trap!," the final installment in the animated series' parodies of the "Star Wars" franchise. But unless you were lucky enough to be sitting in those hallowed, geek-filled halls, you've barely seen anything from the hour-long episode, which tweaks "Return of the Jedi" to hilarious effect.

That's why MTV News is happy to present nine minutes from "It's a Trap," which hits DVD and Blu-ray Tuesday. "It's more of exactly the same kind of jokes you've seen in the other two," MacFarlane deadpanned in a Comic-Con chat with us. "So if you like those, this is the same and you'll enjoy it just as much."

That's just a bit of an understatement, but it's also true: The third episode is no letdown from the first two. Once again, young Chris Griffin plays Luke Skywalker. He's joined by Peter as Han Solo, Lois as Princess Leia, Brian as Chewbacca, Stewie as Darth Vader and all manner of other "Family Guy" characters in various roles. (Paraplegic Joe as Jabba the Hut? Well played!)

"It's a Trap!" begins exactly as the episodes that preceded it, with a LOL-tastic take on the "Star Wars" franchise's iconic opening crawl: "Luke Skywalker has returned to his home planet of Tatooine in order to — okay, you know what, we don't care. We were thinking of not even doing this one. Fox made us do it ... I'm sorry. I took a muscle relaxer earlier and it's kicking in."

From there it's off to the Death Star. We see Solo getting a fart-filled release from his carbonite prison, Meg Griffin as the multi-tentacled sarlacc beast, a Stormtrooper bicycle chase, and appearances from "American Dad!" characters Roger the alien and Klaus the fish in "Jedi" character. Random cameos include Pee-wee Herman, Ted Knight ripped from "Caddyshack" footage and the boogie-woogie piano stylings of Ray Charles. The whole production has never looked better. As MacFarlane explained, "It's definitely the most visually stunning of all of the ones we've done."

Just don't expect the "Family Guy" guys to attack the three newest "Star Wars" flicks. Says MacFarlane, "I would rather chew broken glass."

Kim Kardashian had everyone talking when she was spotted hanging out with Kanye West in New York last month. Kardashian's face time with the rap superstar was documented for the upcoming E! reality show "Kourtney and Kim Take New York," and it also has generated a lot of rumors. Many gossip blogs began speculating that not only were Kim and Kanye dating, but that they also were expecting a little bundle of joy. The reality starlet laughed off the allegations when MTV News caught up with her at Z-100's Jingleball in New York on Friday night.

"My reaction is, 'God, I've got to stay away from those hot dogs and nuts on the street corner and the ice cream!' " she explained. "Like those trucks, I've never seen that before — trucks of ice cream. You have to stop and eat! I couldn't control myself, so [in] New York [I] put on like 10 pounds and then I'm pregnant with Kanye's baby, so whatever! What can you do?! Hit the gym!"

Of course, fans also are buzzing about the album that Kardashian is recording, and she teased that they will know more about it once her E! series kicks off this January.

"It's 'Kourtney and Kim Take New York,' so it's a little bit different," she said. "They might freak out about [my friendship with singer] Ciara — just all my girlfriends are on it so we have our girl time."

She added, "Ciara kind of talks me into doing something really crazy and unexpected. You're going to have to wait and watch the show. It's kind of in her world and not mine ... I don't know ... I'm having fun — that's all I'll say, but you'll definitely see it all unfold on the show."

Waka Flocka Flame Speaks On Home Raid

'Why would I rap and go try to street gang bang? That's hustling backwards,' rapper says in radio interview.

Waka Flocka Flame is focused on one career, and it doesn't involve being a street hustler.

The Atlanta rapper's home was raided by police on Thursday for an investigation reportedly related to weapons, drugs and prostitution. The MC's mother and manager, Deb Antney, has denied to MTV News that prostitution was a factor in the raid, and on Saturday, Waka batted away allegations that he is involved in any type of illegal activity.

During a sit-down with radio station Hot 93.7 in Hartford, Connecticut, the "O Let's Do It" rapper, who wasn't at home at the time of the raid, described how he learned his place had been busted by authorities.

"I had to go to court for a little traffic ticket for driving too fast. I was coming out the court, I had to use the bathroom. So my road manager G-Boy, he's like, 'Ay, man, police just raided the house.' I'm like, 'What? What they want? They want to find some CDs? What they comin' in there for?' " he said.

The rapper denied he was involved in any shady dealings, maintaining he has no plans to juggle life in the streets and the spotlight.

"Why would I rap and go try to street gang bang? That's hustling backwards. Why would I wanna rap all around the world and then go hit the streets and gang bang? I'm a rapper, I'm not a [gang-banger.] How can you gang bang and be a rapper? I don't understand that," he said. "I would love to find out where their information is coming from. I can't wait."

He also swatted away Web rumors that one of his associates, who reportedly appeared in a video that was making the rounds in the blogosphere, tipped off police.

"That ain't true. Hey, this is the internet. I don't know what's going on, I didn't even see [the video], keep it gangsta," Waka said.

The MTV News "Hottest MCs" pick pointed to the breakout success of the past year as one of the main reasons he plans to keep his business out of the streets.

"I'm good. I dropped the album, Flockaveli, doing numbers. 'No Hands,' I think it's platinum or it's on the road to be. I'm in the top three albums of the year, 'cause I don't know nobody selling past me and Gucci and probably Wayne or Nicki and West or somebody or Ross. Other than that, these folks is losing out here," he said. "I'm good, I got shows every week. I'm straight. Team good, I'm eatin'. New label, Brick Squad Monopoly, Gucc about to drop two mixtapes, I just executive produced one of them. I'm going in, man."
