You know, for an attention-seeking man-child, Michael Scott has gotten his share of eligible women over the years, hasn't he? Aside from Jan, whose veneer as a confident businesswoman hid a batpoop crazy, Doris Day-song-singing personality, the rest of the women Michael has dated since we've watched his exploits ad Dunder Mifflin Scranton have been pretty and ambitious and ... surprisingly normal.
And I count Holly in this group. Sure, she shares Michael's knack for a lame joke ("Leave a message after this tiny truck is done backing up!"). And the two of them really shared a kinship when they were working together. But Holly was what Michael would be like if he didn't have all the crippling self-esteem and abandonment issues. Which is probably why Michael rightly thinks she's the love of his life.
