Cablevision and Fox Resolve Carriage Dispute, 'Sopranos' Actress Dies and More

Filed under:

Cablevision logoAfter more than two weeks of a very public feud between Cablevision and Fox, the two companies agreed to a new carriage contract that restored Fox channels to more than 3 million homes in the greater New York area.

It wasn't a happy ending, however. "Cablevision has agreed to pay Fox an unfair price for multiple channels of its programming including many in which our customers have little or no interest," the company said in a statement.

Cablevision had called for the FCC to intervene in the dispute, but when it became clear the government agency would not get involved, Cablevision relented, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
