VIDEO: 'Friday Night Lights' Season 5
The premiere of Friday Night Lights season 5 is right around the corner. For those fortunate enough to have DIRECTV, the final season of Friday Night Lights will premiere Wednesday, Oct. 27 at 9pm on the 101 Network. The rest of us will have to wait until it airs on NBC in the spring. It feels kind of surreal writing about the premiere of Friday Night Lights season 5. Anyone who's followed this small town drama from the beginning never dreamed it would make it this far. For its first couple of seasons the show was constantly on the brink of cancellation. That is until DIRECTV threw a Hail Mary pass and picked up the show for its 101 Network. DIRECTV worked out a deal with NBC that ended up being the best possible solution for the Dillon Panthers.
